Head management, fridge management, battery management, water management. There’s a lot to be cognizant of when there is no readily available pump out, hook-up or nearby source of water. I’ll spare everyone the head details, but will say we are balancing being environmentally conscious, curtious to our neighbors and not stinking. For the most part, this plan is working. We’re keeping the frig cool by keeping the batteries up while running the engine a couple hours when in harbor. That, and also lkeeping a supply of ice and an extra big orange PFD in the chiller to take up extra space. We still seem to go through ice at too fast a pace. I’m really surprised solar is not included on the charter boats given all the sun. You’d think this would help considerably. Managing water is much like camping- just be conservative and adjust your interpretation of clean.
