Set A Course

I guess I’m not quite as romantic as Vince.  For Valentine’s Day, I bought him Inspecting the Aging Sailboat.   It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I’ve continued to read and am now into An Embarrassment of Mangos.  I love reading about Mike and Rebecca’s early experiences, but Ann and Steve’s life seems a lot more like ours. Ann’s lack of sailing experience and uncertainty about  her plans.  I’m learning a lot from everything I’m reading, and still trying to figure out how to organize my thoughts.  Things we’d need to do (CPR class, learning to use these different radios, power of attorney), and things we’d need  to take (how can I keep track of everything Mike and Rebecca learned?), and it still feels like a boatload of information (yeah, I’m learning more about why people say things like “a boatload” of information), but maybe if I keep going, we’ll actually get there. And Vince, he’s learning his things, in his ways, which are very different than mine.
